Terms & Conditions
In these terms, 'us' and 'we' mean Chainsdirect Ltd as the retailer and ‘you’refers to you as the customer. All items purchased from us are subject to the terms & conditions set out here and the additional pages to be found in the Useful Information section of this site. Please ensure you have fully read & understood the terms and conditions before ordering from the website. By placing an order with us you are accepting that you agree with the terms & conditions laid out and are bound by them.
Product Information
We have made every effort to accurately represent the products on this website, but errors can occur and we reserve the right to change the details without notice. The product information includes details which we have sourced from third parties and which we make available free of charge. We have taken reasonable care when selecting those third parties, but we have no control over the information itself and we do not accept any responsibility for its accuracy.
This website also includes 'How To' guides, which provide guidance on certain tasks. These are a basic introduction to certain tasks for those who have not undertaken those tasks before: they are not comprehensive and they may not be suitable in all situations. Whatever the nature of the information, it is provided for general information only and you should not wholly rely on it. The pictures of our products are for illustrative purposes only and the items delivered may be different in detail.
Ordering from Chainsdirect Ltd
By placing an order with us on this website or over the telephone the customer agrees to purchase the item(s) in question. Once an order has been placed by the customer a confirmation email will be sent which acknowledges receipt of the order placed. Acceptance of the order takes place when the confirmation email is sent. The contract formed at this point relates to the products listed in the dispatch confirmation email, and we are not obliged to supply any further products (regardless of order time).
We reserve the right to refuse an order. Such refusal may arise from, but is not limited to, us being unable to authorise payment for the order.
All customers purchasing goods from us are required to provide billing and shipping information. This is a short process in which personal information required (see our privacy policy) will be collected in order to process the order quickly & accurately.
When placing an order the customer must ensure that their email address entered is correct & their mail box is in full working order so they are able to receive confirmation emails that are sent once their order has been accepted.
Contracts formed between you and us will be governed according to English Law, and as such, any disputes which may occur shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
Price
Every effort is made to ensure that product prices are accurate at all times. We reserve the right to change the prices without notice but any such changes will not affect orders that have already been placed. If the price of an item is reduced after an order is placed the difference will not be refunded.
The price shown per item is the total amount to be paid which includes VAT (unless the item is Zero Rated VAT) and UK postage. We are not able to ship outside of the UK.
Please ensure when purchasing items that you are aware of the total purchase price. The total amount payable will be displayed before you place your order. You are responsible for checking prices at the time the order is placed as prices are subject to change without notice.
Payment
Payment in full is required before any items are dispatched. Where a payment has been made by debit or credit card, the card will be debited immediately after the order is accepted. Therefore if any item is subsequently cancelled a refund will be credited back to your account.
By purchasing goods using a debit or credit card, you are confirming that the card being used is yours & that you have no objections to us performing any authorisation checks which we deem necessary.
All debit and credit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of debit and credit cards, we reserve the right to validate the names, addresses and other information supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g. Electoral Roll data, Credit Reference Services). A third party may also be instructed to complete these checks. By ordering from us you consent to such checks being made.
We may need to contact you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able to process and dispatch your order or we may be unable to accept your order. All information provided to us will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. These measures are taken as extra protection for you, to ensure your online shopping experience with us is as safe and secure as possible.

Delivery
All orders received before 12 noon Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same working day. Orders received after this time will be dispatched the next working day (excludes weekends and bank holidays).
Most deliveries will be made by Royal Mail, but for larger and heavier items an alternative courier will be used. We pay for a next working day courier service to UK mainland but unfortunately couriers don't guarantee this so extra time must be allowed. Delivery to the UK islands and Scottish Highlands takes up to an extra 2 days. Delivery will be attempted according to the terms and conditions of the courier. Any subsequent delivery attempts or refusal is the responsibility of the customer and as such all charges incurred by us will be passed on to the customer.
Responsibility & Ownership
The responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer upon delivery, except in cases where the products received are damaged or the incorrect products have been delivered by us. Liability for items which are lost or damaged after delivery will belong solely to the customer. Ownership of the products will pass to the customer on delivery of goods.
Promotions
Certain items on our website may be available as part of promotional offers in a sale. We reserve the right to modify, alter, discontinue or terminate such promotions at any time for any reason whatsoever without notice.
